OGR will be hosting a 3-hour deep dive session on Monday afternoon for those who’d like to explore staying competitive in a cremation market.
Deep Dive. Staying Competitive in a Cremation Market

Warning: This session is not for the faint of heart. You’ll explore new ideas and forge new pathways in your cremation market, and participate in a hands-on, think-tank-style workshop with the end goal of creating new business strategies for serving cremation families. The deep dive will equip you to:
- Structure your cremation prices in a fair and reasonable way that isn’t a race to the bottom;
- Convert direct cremation family into choosing additional services;
- Find additional ways to serve cremation customers without losing money;
- Implement strategies innovative businesses are using online to market to cremation customers;
- Create a marketing plan for approaching cremation families.
We sat down with Andrew Loos, the facilitator for this session, to learn a little more about him and the session.

What I hope people will learn from my session: “It is my sincere hope, for the folks who will commit a few hours to our “deep dive” session, together we learn, collaborate and innovate our way into creating a better understanding of the cremation consumer and the future of their decision making.”
A fun fact about me: “When I was a boy, I knew that, eventually, I would be the next in line to take over for Famous Chicken mascot. It led me to try out for the mascot at my Alma Mater, eventually become a cheerleader and earn a full scholarship and a place on the National Championship cheerleading squad.”
